This has been a very crazy summer for us. Maybe it was all the camps and activities I was running the kids to to keep them busy. Maybe it was the deck Darren has been trying to build. Maybe it was the cancelled then rescheduled last minute trip to California (my kids are AWESOME travelers though.) Maybe it was the new dent I put in my car and had to get fixed or Darren's week of jury duty. Or the expectant kindergartener who asked every morning for weeks and weeks "Do I get to go to kindergarten today?" Or maybe it was the rain that didn't seem to let up until the first week of August and already seems to be trying to come back. Suffice it to say this was a crazy, hectic, exhausting summer, that seemed to stretch on for eternity and pass by in a flash. Here are a few photos to show off the fun we had.
Devon's activites for the summer included: Sports camp, Safety Town, Gymnastics camp, Lego Pre-engineering camp, and Zoo Camp, and mini day camps that a girl in our ward does every year. Plus Pee Wee Soccer, swim, park adventures, bike riding, playing in the backyard, helping build a deck, and going to his first live sporting event. (Portland Timbers soccer which he LOVED!)
Abi did a little toddler class, pre-preschool really. She also had a little dance class and ran a lot of errands with mom while brother was at classes and camps. She also got to see her first movie theater movie "Cars 2."
Darren worked hard at work all day and then any chance of sun he was in the backyard working on our deck.
Mom ran kids around and tried to keep up with everything.
As a family we did a car trip to California, hiked Moultnomah Falls, visited the local Farmers Market, & tired to just have some fun together.
These last pictures are from a BBQ with friends and I'm doing them seperate for 2 reasons: 1) I didn't take them and wanted to make sure that I wasn't trying to take credit for them & 2) I absolutely LOVE them. Probably some my favorite pictures from this summer.
