Okay so this month has been crazy (and I feel like I'm close to being clinically insane) thus no posts for a while. So here is a quick view into our lives recently.
The last part of August and start of September Darren started really working on getting Devon's play structure up in the backyard. Which meant the old fence came down. Lots of wood ordered for a new retaining wall and fence, lots of rock for drainage, and lots and lots of digging. Thanks to tall the friends who came and helped on different weekends, it really would not have gotten done with out your help. (Darren actually was in bed for a couple days from having over worked himself on weekend). Last weekend Darren took 2 days off and his Dad came up and help him actually construct the play structure (the 4 weekends before that were all prep work). Devon loves it and has already had friends over to play on it. It think I'm going to be spending a lot more time in the back yard now.
Amazingly Abi has been around for over 4 months now (I know, I know time flies). And I spent one crazy afternoon at the pediatricians for her well baby check. She is health and happy not quite as high on the scales as before but still our little chunk. We have been trying Rice cereal with her a little bit (per dr's suggestion) to see if I can get her to sleep for more then a 3 hours stretch at night. She finally, just this last week, started sleeping for a good 6 hour stretch - which is heaven for me. But now she has a cold and is all congested so sleeping is out the window. Hopefully I don't have to re-train her once she is better.
Devon is as crazy as usually. He is loving his play class at the local rec center. And my lovely 2 hour break has begun to feel like no break at all. Oh how quickly we adapt and no longer appreciate life's little blessings. :) Devon is a very good boy with his very own (not so humble) opinion on how the world should work. He definitely adds spice to our lives. :)
Mostly life has just been running through the daily grind and trying to remember to appreciate our blessings.
