Amazing New Family Photos...

Okay so we have been a bit slow on the family photos this year. We tried to go in November for our yearly jaunt to Sears which we haven't been throughly impressed with but they turn out okay and we have something to send to family. This year we got there and they said "Wait didn't you cancel?" "Um no and you called twice to confirm." #1 Sign things would not go well. "We'll let me just finish up with this customer I'm the only one here." Sign #2 As she helping other customer "Well I know I can do that but it will take me a minute I just started last week" sign #3. We should have left right then but we waited for 45 minutes and at 5:00 (Darren's cut off time) she was finally ready to help us. At which point Devon was all sweaty from chasing the other little boy (who had just finished his pictures) around and Abi was in major feed me now fits. Never EVER going to get a good picture. So we left took the kids out to dinner and started the hunt for a new way to get family photos.

Now I have always loved outdoor, natural photos but I have always been a bit leery about pricing. (My sister recently got quoted $4500 for a family print, yes printed on canvas but still $4500 - sheesh.) Then all the cute Christmas cards started rolling in with tons of cute family photos. When I received a friends here in Portland & recognized our neighborhood park I emailed her to find out who had done it. Enter Mari MST Photography I emailed her in early November but she was done with pictures for the year (understandably since you can't get very good pictures in rainy Portland from about November to April or May). Found out she takes the pictures, edits, and gives you a disc with 20 or so shots and all the rights, then you go get them printed wherever you want.

I contacted her again in March hoping to get early spring pictures. We set up an original meeting 2 weeks before Easter but the rain just wouldn't let up. Twice we got rained out. But finally we made it out on May 14th. It was a little chiller then anticipated (Abi was pretty cold by the end) but we avoided the rain. And the pictures were totally worth it. The beautiful disc, packaging, and printing directions were awesome. If you live in Portland and are looking to have some nice photos done MST Photography is definitely the way to go. Thanks Mari

Cute pictures! It is fun to see your family, since we never see each other. Let me know when you are coming this way.
